I recently bought these Merrell's because I wanted a shoe that could transition between the road and trail. I have a pair of Salomon trail shoes, which I love, but they are not intended for the road. And a lot of training that I do combines road and trail running. I was a bit apprehensive about moving to a "barefoot" style shoe for the first time, especially at age 45. I have had knee problems in the past and had partially torn my calf muscle within the past year, so the thought of a shoe with minimal to no cushioning or heel rise seemed counter-intuitive. However, after taking my time to adjust to the feel, these shoes have quickly become my primary road shoe. I run 6 to 8 miles in these with no discomfort. In fact, they have made me more conscious about my running form, so I feel I am running more efficiently now. I appreciate the arch support provided in the flux glove and find the shoes very attractive, light and comfortable, so I have been wearing them for casual as well. Great shoe. I highly recommend.

These shoes are awesome! Very light and surprisingly comfortable with how thin the sole is. They do run large though, I wear a size 14 in most other shoes but I had to get a 13 in these.

I through out all my other shoes and use them for work too.
For someone big (245 lb.) I wouldn't of thought these shoe would workout so well.
